Alyssa MacLeod

DPT

She/Her/Hers

Alyssa MacLeod is a competitive OCR athlete and an avid outdoor enthusiast with a background in science and education.  At McGill University, she studied the natural sciences (zoology, ecology, ornithology, entomology, etc) and pursued a career in outdoor education. It was rewarding work and helped her realize her passion was an active lifestyle that instills values around healthy movement, camaraderie, and competition. From there, she began her education in physical therapy and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Plymouth State University.

Her goal is to help others address their current limitations in mobility, strength, stability, pain, and mentality to return to their “sport”, whether that’s running ultras, a season of gardening, or playing hide and seek with a child.

The holistic approach fostered at Oceanside is a great match to achieve these goals. Alyssa believes when people feel respected and treated as more than just a body part, it allows a range of opportunities to unfold for personal success.

What Patients Say About Alyssa

I met Alyssa and I walked out of my first session without my cane, and my pain level reduced considerably. She is an exceptional practitioner. She reads your body and movements and studies it. Exercise routines are always different. You begin to have a relationship with your body that you feared because pain ruled you. Alyssa should have her own constellation of stars, that's how great she has been in helping me.
