I had 2 goals when I opened Oceanside PT:

1. I was not going to compromise patient care and I wanted to create an environment that kept this goal as a priority.

2. I believed our profession lacked the ability to provide therapists a working environment that balanced life’s goals and exceptional standards.

These two goals remain deeply integrated into our mission today.

We specialize in pelvic health but are looking for all therapists who are trained in pelvic, lymphedema, orthopedic or any complementary specialty.

What Is It Like to Work at Oceanside Physical Therapy?

"Oceanside is pelvic PT heaven." This is how I referred to the company when I first was doing a job search for a pelvic PT position. Little did I know how much this statement is true... Here, you will not find gimmicks or corporate policies established by people who 'don't get it'. From the front desk, billing and therapists, we all work together as a cohesive team to help our patients through whatever stage of healing they are needing.

What I love most about Oceanside is that as a practitioner I am supported to discover my passion and develop my skill set to help be successful within my niche. Second to that, our team includes other practitioners who can help complete a patient's experience with a holistic approach. As a pelvic PT, it is apparent that often what drives patients' issues is deeper than musculoskeletal dysfunction. Emotional, mental, nutritional and sometimes spiritual factors play a huge role in a patient's presentation. We have staff trained in visceral mobilization, reiki, shamanism, HRV, nutrition (and more!) to give clients the FULL experience.

Not only do patients succeed with this model, but as an employee, my boundaries to optimize my work/life balance are encouraged and respected. Having the ability to manage my own schedule allows me to have a life outside of work that re-energizes me. I came to Oceanside on the brink of burnout. I really did not know if I could continue in this specialty because none of the other clinic models in which I had worked were sustainable. At Oceanside, I have found a new passion and motivation for this career and I know that I will continue to evolve within myself and my PT practice because of this place! -Lisa Colombo

I truly feel so fortunate to be part of the team at Oceanside. It is incredibly supportive to be part of a team that strives to elevate the level of care we provide on a regular basis, where I know the mission is in alignment with my values both personally, and as a clinician.  This is a unique workplace setting, where there is room to grow, be creative, and expand our knowledge in many different capacities beyond physical therapy.  This team is constantly looking for ways to improve and continue to support the populations we treat. The environment here is very conducive to growth and learning- from weekly meetings and goal setting, clinical pathways, understanding the operations of the business, and the opportunity to collaborate and consult with other excellent clinicians.  I have always felt valued and supported as a member of this team, both personally and professionally in my own growth. -Erin Anderson

I love working at Oceanside for so many reasons. I worked in an outpatient hospital setting for over 15 years and really started to feel the limitations and constraints of productivity expectations, loss of patient focused treatment, and stagnant opportunity for growth. When I came to Oceanside, the value of spending time with patients and giving them the time and care that they truly need and deserve was of utmost priority. The team I work with here is always striving to better ourselves with our knowledge base, our holistic approach, and attaining outcomes above and beyond just acute management by helping patients build strong foundations with tools for healthy lifelong integration. We spend the time with our patients. We offer physical, emotional, and nervous system support to truly treat the WHOLE person. We have a unified vision of constantly evolving and bettering ourselves, not only professionally, but personally to ensure balance and avoiding professional burnout. At Oceanside, good communication is what makes us feel heard amongst each other and what makes our patients feel heard in a medical world that often doesn’t listen. -Andrea Mulder
